A MAGIC WAND!

USE THE MAGIC “WAND” TO STOP AND BECOME WHAT YOU ARE SEEKING NOW !

If you wake up in the morning and you feel

“I’ve got so many things to do. So many things on my list. I must make a start. I just want to have a clean slate. I wish I had more time to just be…”

Then it is a sign that you need to

STOP AND BECOME WHAT YOU SEEK NOW !

Otherwise, the following might happen:

You might increase you efforts, attempting to do even more than you can really handle without pushing yourself into an unhealthy behaviour. This will create a habit for your body-mind.

Then, if you ever do manage to remove everything from your bulging todo list, if you ever do break through the limits to a clearing where nothing needs your attention, nothing needs your action, you might find it hard to stop.

And assuming at this point you are not utterly exhausted, you might feel restless, unsettled, and eventually, bored.

At this point, you might start finding new things to do, to achieve. Adding things to your list.  And while all this might give some satisfaction, a feeling of virtue and achievement, you are continuing to establish a very subtle deep habit-groove.

And since the net effect of this behaviour is reducing for your vitality, you will eventually start to notice a decline in stamina, energy and motivation.

Continuing in this way, a life becomes a relentless cycle of doing doing doing with occasional punctuation marks of non-doing.

Yet these brief moments of non-doing will be filled with the echo of your habit-style: filled with a sense of of restlessness, agitation, even boredom.

Eventually, you will begin to dry up or burn up… This is the beginning of a burnout!

A day will come where you hit a sufficiently low point in your reserves. You may well clear your todo list of tasks, but as you break through to that clearing, despite the sense of satisfaction, you will find yourself in the paradoxical state of feeling on the one hand restless, agitated, and on the other hand empty, flat, depressed. Welcome to Burnoutville aka nervous depression.

This predicament is most commonly experienced by people who are over-achievers (typically Pitta types in Ayurveda). But it can also happen to over-stimulators (typically Vata types in Ayurveda).

Prevention is better than cause!

So if you wake up today and feel “I’ve got so much to do…. I wish I could just relax in the freedom of silence” then I invite you to

STOP AND BECOME WHAT YOU SEEK NOW ?

Because if you look carefully at the needs for stimulation or achievement, you might find subtler needs of silence and freedom hiding behind them. It’s a little more nuanced than that, but a fine starting point for some inner exploration.

STOP AND BECOME WHAT YOU SEEK NOW! can we used as an invitation to explore another dimension of life that I am calling:

WAKEFUL (ALERT) NON – DOING-NESS.

I am using the word “non-doing-ness” instead of relaxation or rest because most people caught up in the daily habit of over-doing or over-stimulating tend to associate the words relaxation with very low alertness or more likely sleep!

While they may look the same from the outside, WAKEFUL NON-DOING-NESS is nothing like SLEEP.

WAKEFUL NON-DOING-NESS can look boring from this perspective, which is why I suggest you think of it as a magic WAND (notice the semi-accidental acronym? story of my life!!!).

So…. It is not the WAND itself that is cool, it is the MAGIC that it brings about.

Just like magic, using a WAND takes some practice.

Once you begin to get it, you will LOVE that WAND and all that it can bring to life!

But remember, the a true magician knows that the wand it just a way of channeling the magic that lies within him.

Yes…. this is an invitation to meditate!

Become your own Merlin The Sorcerer! Become your own Jedi Knight! Use the magic that lies within you. Pick up the WAND and try…

There are many many ways of using WAND. But essentially, they all boil down to this:

BE AWAKE

BE ALERT

DO LESS

THEN DO NOTHING

JUST SIT

AND DO NOTHING

WITH ALERTNESS

And in this state that many are now calling MINDFULNESS (and selling at premium dollar!) … notice what is there?

BEINGNESS
Which is utterly reassuring

PRESENCE
Which is utterly peaceful and freeing

BLISSFUL ALIVENESS / VIBRATIONS OF LOVE
Which is utterly lovable and subtly stimulating

And there you have it… you have discovered that (so long as you are alive, awake and still) you are that which you seek. And it is utterly loveable. The deepest gifts. Deep inside you. Like a hidden mountain source. Ever flowing.

And what will you do when you discover that you are the source of these deepest essential gifts?

You will live your life to the full. Full of aliveness, joy, peace, love.

And you will share this with others…

WAND is a great way to start the day! Because when you come out of WAND into the community of life, everything you do will be for the LOVE OF LIVE.

WAND allows you to give your deepest gifts, not out of a sense of duty, but out of a sense of selfless love.

I am giving these gifts, expressed through my uniqueness and the uniqueness of my life situation. I am an Ayurvedic experimenter and teacher. But I could be a cleaner or a pilot. It’s the same life and the same essential gifts.

If you are 40 years or older and you are not using WAND in a regular fashion… I urge you to look towards it as a solution to restlessness, agitation or any other woe you might care to mention.

USE THE FORCE !
